Union’s New VoLTE Wireless Network in Carbon County Union’s new wireless network is now live and in use in Rawlins, Saratoga, and throughout Carbon County.

This launch adds 7,978 mi² to Union’s new VoLTE network. The newly constructed sites in Carbon County augment builds in Uinta, Daggett, Lincoln, and Sublette Counties. This multi-year, state-wide effort has resulted in VoLTE coverage across 33,000 square miles of Union’s service area – equivalent to the size of Maine.

VoLTE, which stands for Voice over LTE, facilitates voice calls across 4G and 5G LTE networks. In addition to enhanced service in Wyoming, newer phones compatible with this technology are also better suited for seamless roaming on other networks throughout the US. “VoLTE provides wireless service to meet the needs of today’s consumer,” says Brian Woody, Chief Customer Relations Officer for Union. “It provides crystal clear voice calls, better connectivity, and accommodates the fast transmission of large amounts of data.”
